• Embrace the journey: One of the most major benefits of being an international student is the ability to travel to new places. Make the most of it by appreciating every step of your journey. Engage in local culture by trying new dishes and immersing yourself in customs and traditions. Interacting with locals not only enhances your experience but also allows you to create friends and connections that will last a lifetime. Just make sure to make reasonable friends and not the ones who live above their means and only cause trouble.
• Plan Your Itinerary: Before you depart, do some research on where you'll be staying. Discover the customs, sites, and activities that are specific to each area. This will help you know your way about, and if you have somebody who can help you navigate your way around, that's great. Because I had to get lost so many times before I could find my way. Discover how to utilise Google Maps. However, City Mapper remains the finest.
• Respect the Local Culture: It is essential to respect the local culture. To prevent offending anyone, learn about the cultures, traditions, and social standards of the country. You'll earn the respect of the people you meet if you demonstrate an interest in and comprehension of the local culture.

Packing Essentials

• Only the essentials: When preparing for a foreign journey, remember that less is frequently more. Pack only what you really need. Your top considerations are toiletries, clothing for varied weather conditions, comfortable shoes, and vital documents. Overpacking can be inconvenient and expensive. I remember seeing people pay more at the check in because they had too many luggage and they had to leave some back home before they could check them in. Just pack the essentials to avoid the stress.
• Adapters and converters: Plug types and voltage standards vary by country. Pack universal adapters and voltage converters to keep your electronics powered and operating .
• Medications and First Aid: Carry necessary medications as well as a basic first-aid kit. Learn about the healthcare system and the availability of your prescriptions at your destination or from your GP. To avoid problems with missing checked baggage, always pack prescription drugs in your carry-on luggage and if you have any health issues make sure to pack your medication and get your prescription.

Language Skills

Learn a Few fundamental Phrases: Even if you're studying in a nation where English is widely spoken, it's a good idea to learn a few fundamental phrases in the local language. Simple greetings, popular expressions, and vital questions will help you feel more at ease and engaged with locals. If you are not coming from a country where English Language is not widely spoken, make sure to learn and understand because you are going to be so lost during classes. Here in the UK people like to mind their business but there are some nice people who is going to answer you and help you if you are lost. Be safe though.
